Madison Memorial HospitalMany studies affirm that breastfeeding is the best method of feeding for babies, and it’s good for the mother’s health too. We know breastfeeding is not always easy or convenient but for mothers who choose to breast feed, we have several resources available to help you have a successful breastfeeding experiences.

We offer free breastfeeding classes monthly that help educate expectant parents of the techniques, skills, and tips to benefit both mom and baby. These classes are taught by a Certified Lactation Specialist. To register for this class, please call (208) 359-6491. The Breastfeeding Class is taught by an Certified Lactation Counselor to expecting parents. This one evening class will help educate expecting parents about the art of breastfeeding and its benefits for mom, baby, and dad. Learn how to have a positive experience and get breastfeeding off to a good start with proper latch-on techniques, nursing positions, engorgement prevention, and expression & storage of breast milk.

Class Hours: 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM
