Alan G Avondet MD
Dr. Avondet was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. He received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Brigham Young University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with High Honors and then completed his M.D. at the University of Utah, graduating with honors. He was also the recipient of the Paul Wintrobe Memorial Award.
Dr. Avondet completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis, Missouri. Following residency, Dr. Avondet joined the Idaho Falls Clinic in 1982. He previously has served as Medical Staff President at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. He is currently an Attending Physician at EIRMC and a Consulting Physician at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, Idaho.
Dr. Avondet has served on the adjunct faculty at the University of Utah School of Medicine in the Department of Medicine and the division of Nephrology. He is currently the Medical Director of Gem State Regional Dialysis Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Dr Avondet is Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Avondet is dedicated to quality healthcare for all his patients.
