Brett Hiendlmayr MD FACC
Dr. Hiendlmayr has a passion for structural heart disease and complex coronary artery interventions. He started a mitral valve repair program (MitraClip) and has helped expand the TAVR, Watchman, PFO, ASD program at EIRMC, incorporating exciting new techniques and technology. In the appropriate setting, these procedures can improve quality and, in some circumstances, length of life.
Although born and raised in Maine, Hiendlmayr chose Southeast Idaho because of the professional need in the region for structural heart disease, as well as a personal desire to provide his family with a welcoming environment where they can enjoy outdoor activities. He is grateful, also, to have found a supportive cardiology group at Idaho Heart Institute and the community in Idaho Falls.
Dr. Hiendlmayr does his best to give them 100% focus and attention. A great majority of the time, he uses a scribe to help work through the paperwork, in order to focus on the patient and their medical care. He truly enjoys what he does and the people he surrounds himself with daily, which he strongly believes translates into better patient care.
He also continues to regularly review medical journals and attend medical conferences in cardiology every year to stay up to date.
