Jacob D Jensen DO
Dr. Jacob Jensen is an Emergency Medicine physician who earned his degree from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences graduating in 2014. After completing an Emergency Medicine residency at UICOMP – Peoria, Illinois in 2017 he went to the University of New Mexico and did a fellowship in Wilderness, Austere, and International Emergency Medicine. He stayed on as faculty with UNM for the next 2 years.
His areas of interest include wilderness medicine, practicing in austere and underserved environments, endurance events, and education. He has been fortunate enough to practice and teach in Haiti, Chile, Nepal, and Thailand with the highlight being teaching medicine and climbing/mountaineering techniques to Sherpas in the Khumbu Valley.
He’s happy to call Southeast Idaho home and in his free time enjoys skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and spending time with his wife and 4 children.
