Matthew Evans MD

After earning his bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Nebraska, Dr. Matthew Evans continued his education and earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he was the recipient of multiple distinguished scholarships and awards.

During his medical training and residency, Dr. Evans actively participated in multiple committees and conferences where his expertise was shared in multiple areas of anatomical and clinical pathology. He was motivated to pursue a surgical pathology fellowship with a subspecialty emphasis in genitourinary pathology which he completed at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center in association with the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Professionally, driven by a pursuit of the field of oncology, Dr. Evans committed to pathology upon his introduction to the role of diagnostics both histopathologically with the subtle morphologic changes associated with early carcinogenesis and clinically with the laboratory’s central role positioned with the hospital.
