Following graduation from ISU in Biochemistry, I attended the University of Utah for medical school. I soon discovered that I was more interested in surgery and spent the next 5 years in Springfield, Illinois completing a residency in General Surgery. I was very fortunate to acquire extensive additional training in vascular (blood vessels), thoracic (chest and lung), laparoscopic, and cosmetic surgical procedures. Having these experiences has allowed me to have a varied and interesting surgical practice.

In addition to performing surgery on all hernias, gallbladders and the intestinal tract, my practice includes upper and lower endoscopies, advanced laparoscopic procedures, breast, thyroid and colon cancers, and vascular procedures such as bypass and dialysis grafts. For the past 10 years, I have been active in treating varicose and spider vein disease using lasers, as well as breast augmentation surgery. I have also added SmartLipo laser technology to my practice so I can offer state-of-the-art liposuction procedures to patients throughout the valley. Most recently I have begun utilizing the DaVinci robot to perform state-of-the-art procedures for gallbladder removal, hernia repair, reflux surgery, and some intestinal surgery.
