Each individual is valuable to a community. One individual who stands out in her consistent and dedicated service is Betty Spencer. Betty worked as a Housekeeping Aide at Madison Memorial Hospital for the past 16 years. Her service has helped strengthen the hospital as a quality healthcare establishment. Betty was a remarkable trainer of new staff. She was always concerned about the patients and was friendly with everyone she came in contact with. When asked why she stayed for so long she responded that she enjoyed her work and serving those around her. Betty said that the most important advice she could give to others was to enjoy what you do. In her free time, she plans to continue to enjoy life doing things she loves such as fishing and camping. From everyone at the hospital, we’d like to say, “Thank you, Betty, for your service,” and wish you the best with retirement.
