Madison Memorial Hospital purchases Rexburg Medical Center.
Officials from Madison Memorial Hospital and Rexburg Medical Center are making an announcement of an agreement taking place where Madison Memorial Hospital will be purchasing Rexburg Medical Center.
Rexburg, ID – Building upon their commitment to maintain expert healthcare in Madison County and the surrounding communities, Madison Memorial Hospital has come to an agreement to join with another local medical facility. “As Madison Memorial has continued to evolve with the nation on health care reform, it has become very clear that a healthcare organization must build relationships with multiple partners. We have done this recently with the University of Utah Healthcare, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, Seasons Medical, and Madison Carriage Cove”, responds Dr. Rachel Gonzales, Chief Executive Officer at Madison Memorial.
For this purpose, Madison Memorial Hospital is announcing its purchase of Rexburg Medical Center in Rexburg. The name will change to “Madison Memorial Rexburg Medical Clinic”.
The purchase agreement was approved at the regularly scheduled meeting held by the Madison Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees on Thursday, October 29, 2015. It was then presented and approved by the Madison County Commissioners.
“Bringing Rexburg Medical Center into our organization makes a lot of sense. The two organizations values are very uniform. This relationship is forward progress with the hospital’s goal to align with local physician’s practices to strengthen healthcare in our community as we prepare for the future,” says Madison Memorial Hospital’s Chief Financial Officer, Troy Christensen.
Dr. Jeffrey Zollinger says that Rexburg Medical Center is pleased to become a part of the Madison Memorial Hospital healthcare system. It allows the Practice to have access to more resources. While the name will change the same great service and medical care will continue. Dr. Zollinger and his staff welcome this new chapter of medical care to Madison County and surrounding areas. Dr. Zollinger will continue to practice under the new ownership.
