To help the mother and her baby successfully learn how to breastfeed, each Family Maternity nurse is trained in breastfeeding techniques. Nurses can offer guidance and answer questions as they arise.  Madison Memorial Hospital also offers nurses who specialize in lactation. These Certified Lactation Counselors are able to devote the time needed to help both mom and baby along with their nursing team, work toward successful breastfeeding.
